Cuts

Old European Cut

The predecessor to the modern round brilliant, cut roughly from 1890 to 1930. Characterized by a smaller table, taller crown, and circular girdle. Old European cuts are prized in vintage and Art Deco-era pieces; a 1.0 ct trades 15–25% below a modern equivalent.
