Cuts
Old Mine Cut
A cushion-shaped cut common from 1700 to the early 1900s, hand-faceted with a high crown and large open culet. Sotheby's records show old mine diamonds trading at 10–30% premiums to modern equivalents when set in original Georgian or Victorian mounts.
